I am a secondary school teacher helping out with this year’s school play. We are using projections instead of a set and I need a photo of an orchard (or somewhere that will pass as one). Any ideas?

About a year before I moved to London I remember driving through Battersea-ish area and going down the most enchanting road lined with cherry blossom trees. It made me feel like I was trapped in Mary Poppins and also very very full of the joys of spring. Seeing as the blossom tree outside my house has got bored a...

Now that the weather is turning lovely, pubs with gardens are at a premium. But where are the best ones? I’m specially interested in pub gardens that actually have some proper greenery, as opposed to just concrete. Thanks.

Is this something that is known? If so, what is it, please? My new special lady friend is really into trees. I want to take her to London’s biggest, so we can hug it together. Tallest would also be good. Cheers.

I have a very sick looking tortured willow in my garden. It appears that something has been boring into the trunk and consequently slowly killing the tree. This afternoon I was strolling around my garden (it didn`t take long as my garden is quite small!) and I saw two large greenish beetles (1.5 inches) with very ...

Why are they chopping up the lime trees?

In Belsize Park there are a great number of lime trees, from which a sticky sap-like substance falls (usually onto people’s high octane cars – ho, ho). Camden Council makes itself out to be very tree friendly, but they have been regularly scalping the lime trees, including the one right outside my window...

On the No 3 and No 159 (amongst others) bus route, going north along Kennington Road, between about Kennington Lane junction and the Imperial War museum there are little silver labels on the trees with people’s names on them. They are at top deck height and presumably placed so that only bus passengers can see...

OK so after a few beers it was decided that my birthday party was going to take place in a forest in my flat. Sounds fun in theory but how do I go about this? So apart from lots of people dressed as animals I guess I need: - fake grass - trees - scenic views So anyone have any ideas of where to source such ite...

I haven’t and I’ve lived in London for… oh blimey… 13 years now. Next week I am going specifically to see this: TREETOP WALKWAY Don’t it look cool? Now all they need is a Go Ape adventure course too so you can swing from tree to tree in false peril and go slidey slidey rope. Nothi...

I read somewhere that conkers are good for keeping moths away, and I have loads of the little buggers in my flat, munching my knitwear. So I need to know which park has the best the best, most conkeriferous horse chestnut trees in London, so I can collect lots. Any ideas?
