If the freesheets are forced off the streets of central London (as not enough copies are recycled) would anyone miss them? Actually I have a sneaky fondness for the trashiness of the one that isn’t the Lite, and having a regular lesbian columnist is refreshing at least

Does anyone else find the story of London Lite releasing footage of The London Paper being dumped by a couple of distributors a bit – yunno – pathetic? Obviously there are vendors for both papers who dump copies rather than handing them out. Advertisers must surely know this. Everyone knows this. They...

Deadline for freesheet waste agreement - do they have the teeth?

So it looks like Westminster Council are going to tighten up on the freesheets, and make them pay for the waste they create. Apparently the free papers account for four tons of extra waste a day! Looks like a pretty good idea to me, but have they got the teeth to go through with the threat of making them illegal ...
