Saying "thank you" to the bus driver?

Presuming that they haven’t driven like a spaz, do you say “thank you” to bus drivers as you disembark? I think it’s only polite, me.

Metro Lady - Tooting Bec tube?

Who is the friendly old lady who hands out the Metros at Tooting Bec tube station? Is she employed by Metro, or just took it upon herself to hand them to the morning commuters. If it’s the latter it’s quite sweet, but I get the feeling it gives her some purpose in life that might be missing elsewhere. Sh...

Is there anything more repulsive in London at the moment than Louise shitting Redknapp?

I just saw her this morning for the first time, driving to work, on some huge billboard near Aldgate I think, and seriously, I nearly crashed my car. Not because my mouth fell open in some priapic, lusting drool-frenzy, but because my mouth fell open as my breakfast tried to propel itself out of my body and onto my ...

What's been going on?

Hullo my London-centric chums. I’ve been away for a bit, and both purposefully and accidentally avoided FridayCities while drinking my own body weight in cheap Australian lager and wine. I’m back now, and need to know what’s been going on hereabouts. The best gossip will receive 174 kudos, as IR...

To the FCLers it may concern, Can I just say a big thank you. That was possibly the nicest thing anyone has ever done. I am truly touched. You are all amazing individuals and have managed, in a very trying time, to remind me why I love my job. Thank you so much. xxx

Conversation on tube cheers up dreary morning!

I was on the tube this morning and I had one of those rare moments – shock horror I had a conversation with a total stranger – well, maybe not total as she may be a fellow FCLer who knows? – if you are on here “Hello there”. Anywho, it was really nice, made me smile and made what was a dreary morning turn i...

I’m looking for a restaurant recommendation – quite fancy going somewhere a bit flash to celebrate the end of a poverty-striken January. So where’s the best posh-ish place you’ve eaten at recently? I’m not talking two/three star-posh, but one wouldn’t hurt. Don’t really m...

Crouching Radar, Hidden Article

Y’know now that we have this whole new KCL layout I hardly ever notice when there’s a new Radar article. If you hide them down there then they won’t get seen, and then where will we throw all our insults and sarcasm? Hmm?

Before I buy one of these Best review on amazon This is the best toaster. It looks like that shoebox-shaped droid on the Death Star which kind of scoots about and squeaks when Chewie (my favourite character) kind of roars at it and nearly gives the game away when Han (my second favourite Star Wars character) a...

London to Brighton

We said this day would come. And now it’s here and we’re just pleased as Punch (and Judy!)

Boho Brighton – It’s England’s loveliest, liveliest and maybe lewdest city by the sea. Brighton shows the rest of Britain how it’s possible to live on the coast and not draw a pension, play bingo and worry about the price of cat food.

And as one of the UK’s unquestionably coolest cities, Brighton seemed a logical next step in our quest for Kudocities.com world domination!

I’m quite possibly going to be made redundant by Christmas, and have rather fortuitously just been invited to attend a tickle-fancying course presentation this Wednesday 19 November at my alma mater The London College of Communication, Elephant & Castle… To make thorough use of my £12.50 Travelcard, I w...
