Tucked away in Lea Valley is one of London’s biggest kept secrets for a great night out for famlies, a group of friends or sports fans who want to try something different. I am of course talking about the London Racers ice-hockey team. Playing out of the “Bike Shed” the London Racers play in the EI...

Hi, Does anyone know a good pub or club where I, or a large group of people (10-20), can play darts? Where do all the professional darts players train? Does ANYWHERE have more than one dartboard? Ideally I’d like somewhere in central London. Thanks, skimbo

And is it really that cool? A friend just came back from traveling and said it was the best thing she’s ever done. She’s spent hours bragging now and it’s driving me a little nuts. I want to do it too!

Can anyone help me?! We’re starting a netball team at work, but would like a quick practice session before our first game as some of us haven’t played in ages – does anyone know of any pitches (preferably in close proximity to the city as some of us have a long commute home after work so would like...

And, more specifically, does anyone play badminton at the Sobell Centre? I’ve got a membership through work for the Aquaterra gyms in Islington, but so far have only ventured to the Cally Pool and the little gym there. I think I can book the courts for free, but does anyone know if it gets very busy? Al...

Nice fully functional rowing machine available for absolutely free. You just need to pick it up and give us back our space in the bedroom, thanks. Rowing machine works fine but we just never use it as the gym down the road has finally opened. You’ll need to pick it up from Bow in East London and it would f...

A London sport British athletes would excel at?

Obviously with the Olympics coming up they want to include something with a local flavour – at which obviously British athletes would be able to excel. I’m thinking either darts, or the 200 meter mountain bike pavement dash and mobile phone snatch. Anyone else think of a sport that is definitively London?

No, not rounders, Bounders. One of the high points of my summer last year was the Chap Olympics, and I’m hoping they’ll be on again this summer: http://www.thechap.net/olympics.html In fact, I may even take part this time around! As I recall, last year it was sponsored by Hendricks, and we drank an awf...

Hello A scottish friend of mine is visiting our green and pleasant land. He likes football very much. He’s in London for the weekend, and is very keen to watch Scotland play Lithuania on Saturday, preferably surrounded by other drunk scotsmen, shouting and cackling as only the Scots can. Does anyone know...

After giving away all my kudos and resolutely not posting any threads in my bid to wean myself off kudos whoredom, I feel the need to ask a question. It’s work related so let me at your collective brains! I’m looking into creating some sort of social networking channel for a sports website. Most speci...

Roger Goodell, commissioner of the United States’ National ‘Football’ League told reporters on Monday that he was interested in holding the Super Bowl abroad, specifically in London. The fact that the US might be sending one of its more garish national pastimes, not to mention thousands of tubby tourists, our way go...
