Doesn't it wind you up when people just don't turn up?

I have had 3 prospective tenants wanting to look at my flat and they all say.. ‘yes, looking forward to seeing you tomorrow at 7pm….’ and they don’t turn up. No phone call Nuffin. My rent was reasonable, the flat was near their work, it has lots of benefits…hmmm. What is wrong with ...

If my take-home salary is £1730 a month, and I’m thinking of paying £720 a month in rent (excluding bills), will I end up a broke, crying mess?! We (myself and my housemate-to-be) saw the bestest place last night and are going to put an offer in today, but I’m highly irresponsible when it comes to money ...

Where should a web development company move to in London?

We’re a web development company very close to the heart of this fine site and it looks like we’re out growing out current premises near Caledonian Rd. Now at the minute we’ve got a bit of a conundrum where to move to. One of the directors quite likes the Soho area whereas I prefer areas such as Cle...

Can anyone recommend a decent sales and letting agent in south Essex (Kent border)? I know there are tons of the blighters in the phone book but I like personal recommendations and would like to find a decent one rather than some spotty youth with aspirations to a sales career. Ta.

Yes I know this is a very boring question, but has anyone used one of those storage places like Big Yellow Storage Company? Can anyone recommend a good one? (Just one that’s cheap, really). North London. Thanks!

I’ve been looking for a new desk to rent in south London for AGES… but am having no joy. I just want a weeny space for me and my computer in a room with some other media-ish/creative people… but these are few and far between, and the right one so far has eluded me. Anyway, as lots of you people see...

Hi. I know there are posts out there suggesting rental agencies and very good they are too. but you have to pay them for the service, and they get landlords more rent – and me less beer. However, it doesn’t help me find out where is good and where is bad and where is baderer. Help me – where ...

I’m asking here for a friend, because I’m happily ensconced in lovely East Dulwich/Peckham Rye borders, but would anyone know of a two bedroom furnished flat going in the South Bermondsey/ Peckham/ East Dulwich for a reasonable rate (max £260 p/w)? Alternatively, anyone know of any decent flat-finding we...

In case anyone hasn’t noticed already, I am about to embark on some kind of home relocation. It is quite possibly the biggest eye-opener...

Great location; 5 mins walk from tube and overground. Great local night life. Proper garden you can sunbathe and barbecue in. Wooden floors throughout. I love my flat and hated to leave it. Consequently, be warned; my very large brothers still live close by and anybody disrepecting it will reap the rewards.

As of the 4th May (no Star Wars jokes please) I am going to have a large double room in a lovely flat in South Ealing available to rent. It’s genuinely less than 5 minutes walk to South Ealing tube, and on 65, E2 and E3 bus routes. Lots of useful local shops (butchers, greengrocers, chemist etc) and restaurant...
