Now and again, over the past year or so, an apparently sane guy would put up a few placards outside the Mormon church on Exhibition Road, and stand around (slightly uncomfortably) with a handful of leaflets, although I never saw him actually and out any of them ! You know, the ones that actually changed things! Whilst I’m sure no-one wants a return to the poll tax riots, that seems to be the last protest I can remember that actually had an effect.
