If Brian Haw et. al can camp out permanently in parliament square, can anyone put up a tent and join in? The number of tents camped out there seems to grow week by week…

Then go to this site! It’s a small and hopefully amusing way for cyclists to engage in a little civil disobedience on their way to work, while protesting against the Serious and Organised Crime and Policing Act, or SOCPA, recently voted the 3rd most unpopular law in Britain by Radio 4 listeners. You may alread...

Ever been detained by police on a hire coach?

If you answered yes, then you were probably one of the ill-fated 3 hire coaches that set out from London, Euston for an anti-war protest in Gloucestershire on 22 March 2003. We’re now looking for the people who were on board one of these coaches, because they are now very likely eligible for compensation. ...

Further to today’s Radar post, are you annoyed by beaming Amy and her surgically augmented chest… ...or do you quite like her? And what’s your opinion of Kirstin Smith’s stickering campaign? Is defacing ads such as this the way forward? What other slogans might you like to see going up over irritating o...

I’d like to suggest to anyone who objects to our elected representatives approving the expenditure of £76 billion of our money on renewing the Trident nuclear ‘defence’ system for no obviously ...

Is anyone else as furious as me about this whole Live Earth shenanigan? How dare people like Madonna etc, who have a carbon footprint the size of a small (or, actually, probably rather large) African country preach to the rest of us about being environmentally concious. Grrrrr!!! I’m thinking about standing ou...

Further to today’s Radar post, what are your thoughts on the state visit of the King of Saudi Arabia? Are you really really pleased? Or would you like to see a small child halt the regal procession by jumping out in front of the gilded carriage, pointing a finger at the king and shouting, ‘But he hasn’t got any mora...

Tamils Of London In The News

Posted 5 months ago 0 responses

Tamil people in London have hit the news twice this week for very different reasons. Firstly, seems Croydon is in the grip of gang fear following a spate of violent clashes in recent years. Local police claim these Tamil gangs are “tooled up” and looking for trouble. On Monday 4 young Tamil men were found guilty at the Old Bailey for committing the so-called “Chicken Cottage murder” last year. The men denied all charges. Read More
