Does anyone know what happened this morning at northbound Northern Line at Balham this morning. A Bank train went through without stopping and then a Charing Cross train did the same thing. I pressed the emergency button and the guys upstairs didn’t have a clue. An announcement was then made that northbound...

Over the last few weeks, my two commute tube stations Balham and Clapham Common have been piping classical music onto the concourse. Obviously, these two are both on the Northern Line and only a few stops appart, has anyone elso noticed this on any other stations/lines? Is this a new way of calming us on our commute?

In a message to another FCLer moments ago, I referred to my fellow inhabitant of SW12 as a Balhamoid. Should I have said Balhamite? Balhamer (pronounced “Blarmer” of course). Balhamesque. I’m not sure, I like -oid though. What do you call people who live in the same place as you?

Original Dating are running a speed dating event tonight at The Snug Bar in Clapham South/Balham. We have 15 girls attending but still have a few guys places availiable. In order to reach parity we have knocked a tenner off the normal ticket price making this event just £9.95. These events are always a great laug...
