When fixed, I need my scooter for a photograph project, but could do with LbLers help. Could people please help me find painted adverts that are normally on the end of terraces and old retail premises for products like cigs, milk and bread, they are all over london but would appreciate specifics. Thanks WeirdNA

I’m planning a photography project, and wanted some locations for some really interesting buildings in London. Not the really famous landmarks, but obscure and fascinating. I’m sure many of you have walked past a building and thought “Wow – that’s interesting”, so please share! Th...

Does anyone know if it is possible to get access to the power station – officially and legally? I am an keen amateur photographer and would love to have a mooch around there. The last time I went to the perimeter a man ran out of a portacabin and chased me down the street asking for my camera!

After months of saving I treated myself to a digital SLR at xmas. I know a bit about photograpy but would like to improve my skills. Does anyone know of any good photography courses in Wandsworth / Merton area? Most of the ones I’ve found only really deal with film SLR’s. Something at the evening or week...

Does anyone know a good, cheap framer?

Anyone know of a good, cheap framer? Shop frames just don’t do the trick for a decent pic. And serial ‘look on google’ posters are perhaps missing the point of LbL. I’m certain the fine search site will throw up dozens of options but hopefully one of you lot will have been in my position befo...

I’m looking to join a reasonably priced class for photography. Not digital, but SLR. I know google will find me what I need. But what I want is to hear from any of my fellow-Londoners who have attended such a class and have found it to be really helpful. Thanks much. artismarti

I finally got a digital camera and now I need to find a place that does the printing. I know of several places that do it, but I would like to find a place (London or online) that does not print any of the rubbish they usually have on the other side of the picture. I would like it to be totally white. Does anyb...

Anyone been to an exhibition featuring a Turkish Teddy Girl?

This is very, very specific, but it’s worth a go. A couple of weeks ago I was on the tube (end of Feb?) when I became transfixed by a woman’s face. She was on the floor in a copy of the Metro that had fallen open on an inside page. All I can remember was that she was a Turkish Teddy Girl and the photo of her was ...

Camera types, do you know of anywhere (either central, around Islington or near the city) that I can buy a Lomo? Specifically a Fisheye 2? I’d been thinking, and forgetting, about getting one for a while & on Sunday, while breakfasting in Peckham, I ventured into a bookshop conveniently located around t...

Think that might be a magazine, or is that WhatDigitalCamera? Anyway, I want to start taking some pictures of our beautiful city and all it’s wonderful inhabitants, right, but I don’t think my current digital camera is up to the job. It’s so slow to turn on that by the time you’ve done th...

Photography is one of the most popular profile tags on here, yet I’ve never seen your pictures. Perhaps we could have some kind of regular photo competition? We could do it online or we could arrange meetings in a pub or somewhere and have everyone bring a photo print with them to be judged. The second option ...

I heard about these a while ago – it’s like a treasure hunt but with photos. There’s a couple of companies who run them around London. I think it looks quite fun, if a bit corporate-y. I was going to do it with some friends once but we are far too disorganised, so we went to the pub instead. Any...

As there are so many arty types frequenting FCL (it’s like cyber-Hoxton in here!) I wondered whether it might be fun one evening to meet and take photos on a given theme. Obviously pubs will feature but might not be the focus (if you’ll excuse the pun) of the photography. If we were all digital, camera-w...
