On the west side of Clapham Common, between The Avenue, and Clapham common West Side, there are several raised areas with decayting tarmac tops, about 4ft high, and about 2000 sq ft each. They look like they might be foundations for old buildings. Does anyone know what they actually are?

Does anyone know of a venue in London which can hold 700 people for New Year’s Eve? I appreciate that most places will be booked up by now but all suggestions welcome!
