I need to wring as much cash as possible out of our fair and apparently 24 hour city. Any ideas on jobs that can be done outside normal working hours? I was kept awake in N7 last night by evil birds singing through the early hours (definitely at 1am and 3am) – does anyone know why? Surely this is against nature – I thought they were supposed to sleep when it is dark. Was not a wine- induced dream as my boyfriend also heard them. tk

Today was a total write-off because at about 1am last night a helicopter started flying around in circles directly, as it seemed, above our house in south London. It did that for an hour or so before moving off to fly in circles directly above someone else’s house, but still within earshot. As a result I did...
