As we can afford more bedrooms there- any recommendations, advice against? Or should we go to Wimbledon where we can afford less but get more from the area? Any help is appreciated as we currently live in Beckton so any locals feedback?

I need to move the rest of my stuff from one place in East Dulwich to another some time this afternoon. Does anyone know of anyone – doesn’t have to be a man – with some form of reasonably capacious transportation at their disposal? (doesn’t have to be a van) I heard that there’s som...

Yes I know this is a very boring question, but has anyone used one of those storage places like Big Yellow Storage Company? Can anyone recommend a good one? (Just one that’s cheap, really). North London. Thanks!

I’m moving in a couple of weeks and haven’t even begun the dreaded packing yet – just looking at all my books sends me into a tizzy. Compounding the problem is a total lack of containers and I’m not sure where I can get some from. I remember when you used to be able to go to your local sup...

My younger sister (24yrs) has just moved to London to find her fortune. She’s been crashing on my floor for the past month but is getting pretty disheartened. Long working nights and weekends have made me crap at helping. Bad big sister! Maybe you guys can help me make it up to her. She’s a clean, tidy,...

Please do go and see this. It’s about someone with a mental age of 8 on Death Row in Mississippi, so it won’t be a laugh a minute but I’m sure it will be very good, and it’s less than an hour long. Anyway, the tickets are £10 each and it’s in a very good cause. If you think it sounds...

I’ve started the new year in my usual state of financial hideom, and am seriously contemplating moving – again. But I need somewhere cheap, otherwise there’s no point. And I can barely be arsed to shift all the boxes of crap which travel everywhere with me, so ideally, it needs to be somewhere cent...

Hello. I have been living for a year in a lovely flat share with someone I thought I knew, only shortly after we renewed our year contract with Winkworth stuff started to look bad between both of us. I am a newly catering contractor and i just finished a job, now I am looking for the next one but that can take...

Moving on the bank holiday weekend. Just round the corner (Mile End) but it’s probably a couple of van loads – and I can’t drive… Can anyone recommend a man and van who won’t steal all my things and who will show up on time? I apologise for the lack of witty banter in this post. I...
