I got on the train with my two bags and fell completely flat on face, bags all over the carriage, because of my heels. I quickly had to get up and go to the next carriage where no one had seen me. I can still hear the loud splat as I landed. Unfortunately I left my book in the first carriage but was too embarrass...

Is anyone else annoyed by the new automated stop announcements on buses? I don’t need to know I’m on route 243 and the name of every individual stop all the way from Kingsland Road to Holborn. Today’s paper has brought us the entertaining news that the voice of such well loved tube announcements as “mind the gap” and “stand clear of the doors, please” and even “inspector sands to the control room immediately” has had her no doubt valuable contract to provide these...

The tube always warns you to mind the gap but despite this useful advice have you ever fallen through the gap? Were you drunk? Did a heel get caught? I’ve heard of two people falling and getting stuck in the gap(but one was in France where they don’t warn you) and another on the London Underground
