Oh my word. What bright spark decided to paint all the pillars at Mile End that revolting shade of purple and yellow? When did this happen? I’ve been off work for the last week so I can only assume it has been done recently. What were they thinking??

Why don't these menacing crows fly away?

Does anyone know why crows seem to frequent the same patch of land? I come home on the 277 bus from Canary Wharf every day, and near Mile End park the dark brooding buggers are there every day, hopping around looking menacing. Why don’t they fly somewhere else? Grif

Where are the police horses based?

Simple one really – walking past Mile End tube last night, saw two police horses (with riders, obviously). Not really doing anything, just relaxing in the cab rank, giving the cab driver behind a lovely view of one of them taking a steaming dump. Why were they there? Are there stables in the vicinity?
