Where can I find a self-defense course?

I am increasigly worried by the violence on the streets of London but feel that I am ill-prepaired to defend myself.I’m not interested in martial arts classes but would like to find a self- defence class for males or even better, for both me and my partner. Does anybody have any suggetions. Gerry

Not for me but my future brother-in-law. I’ve had a quick google but whilst it may show locations (or not in some cases) I’d prefer recommendations so he doesn’t waste his time or money. Any martial artists out there who can help?

Good morning, FCL! I’d like to take up Tai Chi in Chelsea, Sarf Kensington, or the immediately surrounding area. I did have a google, but the only ad I saw for this area was dated 2006 so I don’t know if it’s on the go. Does anybody have a definite for me?
