She’s the presenter of BBC2’s ‘Paris’, which I urge you to watch not just for her beauty, charm, knowledge, sophistication, wit and elegance, but because it’s a fascinating look at the French capital. She is lovely, though. Bit of a Roman nose on her but I can live with that. God...

I can hold back no more. I’m in love! What’s more, I’m in love with the sweetest, sexiest, least inhibited man I’ve ever met, and it’s absolutely fantastic. All of my friends hate me because I’m just so deliriously happy all the time and now you hate me too. Ha! The reason i am wr...

Pootling along the South Bank the other day I decided that, though sinister, some of Antony Gormley’s statues have quite nice, peachy derrieres. I also have an undying amour for the Lions in Trafalgar Square, as I imagine they are will come to life and, Aslan-style, and let me thunder about London on th...

I have what i very loosly call a computer. A microwave would beat it in an argument. It started out as a windows 95 monster, and was upgraded to 98 – this has slowed it down so much that if it were in a race with a commodore 64, loading up Windows Media Player vs Fantasy Land Dizzy (on tape), the commodore...

OK, I was on my home this evening and wearing quite tight trousers. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a normal squish on the Circle Line from Westminster round to Liverpool St. Anyhooo, I was standing and a rather attractive young lady was sitting opposite me, but in very close proximity – her eye level was pr...

I’ve been asked to do a reading at my niece’s wedding. I’m looking for something amusing, contemporary and light hearted so have rejected all the ‘How much do I love thee’ stuff. Anyone out these got any ideas?

About once a day, I do that little side-to-side dance thing which you do when you and someone else are on the same trajectory and trying to avoid one another. Sometimes it happens more than once a day. I mostly like it, and if you do it with a like minded soul, then you both have a bit of a smile and a chuckle. When...

The humble kudo. What are they for? It is one of the great mysteries of the modern age. Well ok they are for vouchers (and some bright shiny thing that the FCL gods have yet to spring on us apparently). Anyway my point is that I know you get kudos for a new post, posting with a location and joining new people ...

I was talking to a friend the other day about cartoons when he admitted that when Bugs Bunny dressed like a woman he would get mildly aroused!! Not only is he off the Christmas card list (and I hope never to get stuck in a lift with him) but it got me thinking. Has anyone ever had a crush on a cartoon character? ...

Soooooo, as the lovely Chez observed this morning, many a KCL face off has taken place over the last few days. Yes, most of us are Brits. Whining, moaning, bitching, and queueing are in our blood. Surely though under your stiff upper lips (I said upper lips), your bowler hats, and your stony communter expressi...

It’s that time again for London to show off it’s green credentials by burning thousands of unnecessary light bulbs all night. Actually, they claim it’s eco-friendly lighting, and it’s quite nice to look at so fuck Mother Earth. The whining whore. Enjoy.

I have a 17 year old niece who was going out with a 25 year old guy. They had a row recently and he chucked her out of the car and left her in the middle of the country, freezing night with no coat. My older brother had to go out and pick her up. My older brother, has a short fuse, rung the guy’s house and spo...
