I need a library with information on semiotics and symbols

Does anyone know a library, that is open for public use (preferably on Saturdays too), where I could find information on political signs and symbols and their use in the 20th century? I need to write a tutorial paper for uni but as a distance student, don’t have access to a uni library. Thanks!

joining the library where you work

I work in Westminster borough, and the site says I can join their library. But the usual way of joining is to use utilities bills and the like to prove residence. So has anyone else done it, and what did you use for proof?
