As a part of an alcoholic tour of Kensington and Chelsea I was taken past/to a ‘club’ called Town House in Kensington, near the French Institute. Unfortunately it was closed when we got there, but I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this place? Basically, it’s down some steps that mak...

Hi All, I’ve got a bunch of friends coming to visit next saturday. As I’m new to London I haven’t got a clue to take them on a night out. We like pubs, indie music and clubs. Bit vague I know, but can anyone suggests a few good places thats good to go out? Cheers!

It’s criminal, criminal I say, that there has yet to be a decent sized London bloggers meetup. Especially when you consider how many people are willing to give up their time, to have nobody listen to them. Show you solidarity for our unheard brothers and sisters by attending the first London Bloggers Meetu...

I’ve just come back from a lunchtime excursion to the behemoth that is Whole Foods Markets in High St Ken, on the old Barkers site. While impressed at its scale and with some of my purchases, I can’t help feeling slightly wrong about having shopped there. I’ve heard about slightly dubious pra...

I’ve got a friend coming into town with the company credit card and he wants to go to some fun places in Kensington – any cool suggestions? It’s not my usual hangout so I’m at a loss. Thanks!

I have arranged a birthday picnic for Saturday in Kensington Gardens. The forecast is reasonable at the moment (AccuWeather says it isn’t even going to rain!), but the project manager in me is starting to worry about the possibility of inclement weather… This isn’t a part of London I know partic...

Guten Tag, I have a friend coming up for a week long course in May and needs somewhere to stay. It’s at The Copthorne Tara (in Wrights Lane, Kensington, W8 5SR), she doesn’t know London and she needs somewhere that doesn’t cost a million pounds a night (so probably not actually in Kensington ...

Am trying to find a restaurant for next Tuesday night and was considering Firehouse in South Kensington, but haven’t heard of it before so not sure, but it’s on the TasteLondon thing so I can get 50% off the food, which is handy. It’s for a girlie dinner so don’t want somewhere too sombre (b...

Who knows about nights out in Kensington? There’s a question on my forum from someone who’s researching a novel which involves a night out in Kensington but they don’t know all the places to go in the area. Can anyone offer them some good tips? I’d be most grateful. You can see the posting he...
