The next time you are stuck in a sodding traffic jam – think yourselves bloody fortunate. I live in Bangkok and the other day at the Lad Prao intersection I had to wait one hour and 58 minutes for the sodding lights to change!
Red Ken – not bad for a commie bastard.

I was absolutely disgusted when on either the 3rd or 4th January, I went to get on my usual bus- they the butt holes ripped me for £2! I was only going a couple of miles. I only had £3 in my pocket (i’m not ashamed to admit that it was a jobcentre/signing on trip- don’t mock me too much) so I was, natura...

Today, I tried to hop on a bus to work- but as you know, although I have an Oyster card, I can’t find anywhere nearby to top it up, so I end up just not topping it up. I had a £5 note. The fare is £2- not a problem?
Apparently it is- because when I went to pay, the driver refused to let me on claiming she h...

As you are probably all aware, I seem to have more problems on buses and trains than anyone else – so this is something close to my heart.
I am fed up of ridiculous arguments with bus drivers about accepting “real money”, and being charged large amounts of money for a transport service that is, ...

The mayoral elections won’t be taking place until June 2008, but let’s start the ball rolling now. Who would make London’s best Mayor? James Whale? John Bird? Shagger Norris? Sian Berry of the Green Party? They’ve all indicated that they will or might stand.
Do we want a bit of an extrover...

I don’t usually do petitions, but I did sign this one today, which is against Lottery money being sucked from the arts and small organisatons and being used to bridge the gap in lottery funding. Sign, discuss etc.

Following on a bit from the Is Ken a dictator thread, and the smoking ban thread, there’s this article on BBC about Ken urging the reduction in patio heaters
Just another dig at smokers, or an important message about reducing energy demands?

I really don’t know the answer to this, but I’m sure another FCL’er does.
I have this horrible suspicion that it might well be restricted to people who actually live in London. If this is so, is it fair? I don’t think it is because of the tens of thousands of people who commute in every da...

That’s the partisan message from Londonist today as Londoners go to the polling stations to choose their next mayor and members of the London Assembly. As we write we are reliably informed that a new YouGov poll for today’s Evening Standard will show Boris Johnson heading for victory over Ken Livingstone by six percent of the vote after electors’ second preferences are taken into account. But any news-stand message on our streets later today implying that The Tory is coasting to victory should be ignored. Read More

I just read in the London Lite that Ken is due to host a radio talk show in the afternoons on LBC.
We should call in on behalf of KCL. Maybe on a weekly basis.
What would be your first question for Ken?
