In the local paper yesterday, it was reported that Haringey gets about 15 people a week in hospital due to drink related illness or injury.
If that’s replicated all over the capital then surely some of us, and people we know, must surely have had an embarrassing or debilitating drink related trip to A&E...

The death of a man at University College London Hospital, where he was taking part in a cancer drug trial, has been blamed on a computer error. The 27-year old, who suffered from “very widespread” testicular cancer, was given double the correct dosage of chemotherapy over a period of months after a mistake in the set-up of the trial.
