My boyfriend and I have just bought a flat together between Hammersmith and Goldhawk Rd near Ravenscourt Park (just to give you a good idea of the area!) Though I like the flat and the road, I don’t really know the area – can anyone tell me nice (or not so nice?) things about the area? Is it a nice pl...

I’m about to book a ticket for Tori Amos at the Apollo but the seating plan isn’t very specific. Does anyone know which is better – ‘orchestra stalls’ or ‘dress circle’? Are they both seated? ta x

Every evening, as I walk to Baron’s Court tube, I see numerous cars come down Talgarth Road out of Hammersmith, turn into Gliddon Road and proceed to do uturns then head back the way they came. It’s happening too often to be the usual kind of “crap, I’ve taken a wrong turn!”. Is there j...

I’m currently looking for a tough old desk for working on. Preferably something completely unfashionable like G plan or old brown Victorian furniture, the sort of thing that lasts until you have to hit it with an axe to make firewood. I don’t want ikea, so I wonder if anyone knows of a good secondhand...

I just wanted to let other Londoners know about an amazing theatre show that is opening in a couple of weeks at the Lyric Hammersmith studio. Hands up, I’m working on it but this isn’t a mindless plug, I have seen this show several times and it really is very good, and very appropriate to London at this ...

Hi All, I’ve ended up with a spare pair of tickets for Lou Reed’s live performance of “Berlin” at the Hammersmith Apollo next Saturday (30th June 2007) and wonder if anyone would be interested in the tickets. The tickets are in Row C of the front stalls – dead centre – and w...

Talking of places to eat, I was lucky enough to have supper at The River Cafe the other week, perfect surroundings, lovely staff, and very agreeable food and drink. The whole thing though ended up with a bitter tinge as the owners insist on displaying a twelve foot shadow image of a clock on the only wall in the pla...

Hi all, I have a pair of stalls standing tickets to see the brilliant Nick Cave this Thursday at the Hammersmith Apollo. Gig was sold out ages ago, as were his other shows. Sadly I can no longer go (sob). Don’t want a profit, just want the face value of £27.50 each (but only selling them as a pair). If n...

Righty, I need a riverside, child friendly resturant (for a child aged 12) that is reasonably priced and that is likely to have space for Saturday. It must be fairly central or easy to get to. What have you got?
