Congratulations to all the lucky FCLers who got their hands on tickets to see the Spice Girls at the O2. Tickets which, apparently, sold out in 38 seconds. It’s always nice to see a lottery where even the winners are losers. So, today’s question of the day is this: what is the single best gig you̵...

Hello – I’ve got two tickets for sale to see Nine Inch Nails on Saturday March 10 at the Brixton Academy. They’re downstairs stalls standing tickets. I can’t go any more, and don’t want to let the touts get their hands on them! I can post them or meet up somewhere handy to exchange. ...

I am helping to organise a pre-Edinburgh show to take place early July. I have a fairly solid shortlist but I’m not quite convinced I’ve found the right place yet. It needs to be fairly central, hold upwards of 200 people and have a bar. Are there any hidden/obvious gems out there I should check out? ...

Hey people, In your vast collective experience have you found a decent music venue for hire in central-ish London? I’m looking to put on a birthday gig later in the year and want to find somewhere with a decent stage, a good PA and a decent bar for somewhere in the region of 150 people. And if you want t...

Right. I’ve just been put on the VIP guest list at Koko’s in Camden for 7.30 tonight to see a recording of The Album Show for Channel 4. Kaiser Chiefs will be playing and some dude from the Super Furry Animals. Lots more too. Anyway, I can’t go, because something’s come up. Anyone else want to go? It might hel...

My colleague has two tickets to see Prince at the O2 Centre tonight, but her partner has just had to go to hospital for an operation and neither of them will be able to go. Doors open at 6:30pm. Would anybody like them for just below face value (£60)? Collection from East Finchley. Message me if you’re i...

Level 2, circle, T86 and T87. Face value so £15.50 each but only if you can come and collect them from Angel or Highbury or somewhere in between. I think the gig is sold out. I really really want to go – but I can’t.

Who wants to come to Aimee Mann?

Absolutely none of my friends likes Aimee Mann. This pains me, because in all other respects they are good people. The upshot of this is that I have a spare ticket for Friday’s gig at Indigo2 (the smaller venue in the Dome). I will be going anyway; would anyone else like to come? Tis a shame to waste a ticket,...

Any takers? One of my favourite bands are playing one last London show before they call it a day on August 29th at the Luminaire. A fine live band and it’s sure to be an emotional show. It would be nice to have some people along to share the fun and beer. Tickets here and band page here.

If I don’t hear from my mate by lunchtime tomorrow – and it’s looking very likely I won’t as he tends to take off for weeks at a time – then my +1 for Von Sudenfed (Mouse On Mars and Mark E Smith’s shouty techno project) at Heaven in the evening will become free. Support acts are...

This looks both good & worthwhile. Might be a nice oppurtunity to meet some other FCLers. Having said that I am not sure if I can make it into town in time so not sure I should be taking the lead on this one….. Anyone going to these concerts? As described on Londonist as “not very inspiring,” nonetheless Mogwai in surround sound will be ace. Yum yum. I love some event gigs me. Remember the 4AD anniversary concerts? James Brown supporting the Chillis in Hyde Park? Any other memories?

Come along to Human Error – a night of stripped down rock and roll, glitchy weirdness and freaky dubstep. Something for all the cats! There will be dj’s in the front bar, and among the acts playing the main room are: Atki2 (featuring Indi Kaur), El Kano, Agaskodo Teliverek (no, I don’t know either...
