I’m not about to spend a million pounds on an old park bench but much like the idea of getting reclaimed tat for the garden. I’d grow cabbages in an old toilet quite happily. Any ideas?

The title says it all, I need a garden for the good of my soul, but I also want to buy a place in jolly Bethnal Green where there seem to be no properties around with outside space that I can afford. Not sure anyone can help but just needed to share…and I think that people who just want a garden to have barbe...

I need a gardener! My south=west London-based front yard is getting quite over grown and I need the talents of a Proper Man or indeed Woman to sort it out for me: (a) I don’t what are weeds and what aren’t and (b) I can’t be arsed to do it myself. Any recommendations? I’m somewhere in the ...

Do I need to worry about family of foxes?

The other night I was concerned to hear creatures manically scurrying around at the end of my garden and worried that there was a seething den of rats down there, vermin who would soon work out how to use the cat flap and infest the house and eat my face while I slept. However, yesterday evening I was sitting in ...

How in the name of all that is humane do I stop cats crapping in my mostly empty flower beds? I say humane because I will very shortly purchase an air rifle night vision goggles unless I can come up with a harmless solution…and a cheaper one for that matter! Rosco

I’ve got loads in my garden and they’re seven spot ones which are apparently getting eaten into extinction by the voracious Harlequin species. There’s a couple having sex out there right now so there are more on the way. Want to help save our seven spotters?

I’ve got my folks staying over the bank holiday weekend to help me out with some DIY, they’re bringing their dog with them and I think we’ll be in desperate need of some liquid refreshment at some point to escape the DIY before we kill each other. Obviously if the weather is good we can beer garde...

Garden spiders (or cross spiders if you are being picky or feeling religious or see an angry one) seem to be taking over every web-ready space in my garden. So much so that coming back from a trip to top up the compost heaps leaves me looking like Mrs Haversham (I suppose I should stop wearing the wedding dress for ...
