Where can I get good pumpkins?

As another Halloween creeps up on me, my mind has turned to organic decor. Does anyone know of a good pumpkin patch in or around London? Pumpkin patches are not really a must. If there are any other places that specialise in prime pumpkins, please let me know!

Techniques for portaloo usage: discuss

Next week is the Isle of Wight Festival. No doubt, as is the case when me and my chums go to these events, give it ten minutes after the tent pegs are hammered in and talk will turn to poo. And wee. Most usually culminating in a terrifying scenario-based discussion along the lines of, “If the lock got stuck on...

Friend bailed on me and I got an extra premium ticket for Sat at 17:30 which is sold out. Gets you entrance, £20 worth of “crowns” which you use to buy food, and a free booklet they say is worth another £10. Going for what I paid: £36.

Anyone fancy driving to Serbia in July to see a load of bands?

Just an idea at the moment, but there’s still tickets available for the EXIT festival in Serbia from Thursday July 6th until Sunday July 9th. I fancy driving over there in some sort of van – possibly buy an old banger off eBay, drive it over and back, then re-sell it when we get back. Tickets are 7...

What festivals are there in London this summer?

Posted by Quimberly about 1 year ago

Apart from the obvious ones, will there be any small festivals in London this summer? Living in Catford, I know that Lewisham People’s Day is supposed to be good but I’m not going to Glastonbury on the principle that there will be more people in those fields than the population of most towns, and the ot...

Every summer there seems to be double the amount of festivals in London than there was the year before; what are your favourites and why? Which ones would you pay to get in to or do you just like freebies? Does a ‘cause’ attract you or are you only interested in hedonism? Cx

I was very sad to see that I will be missing the Chap Olympics for what seems like the 70 millionth time before I remembered that the reason I will be missing it is because of lovely, lovely Latitude! Given the apparent success of the Glastonbury FCL meet-up when I was unfortunately on a train busy talking to th...
