I like cricket. There, I’ve said it. Now that I’ve done the hard bit, I want to know how I can get to see the World Cup cricket matches that start in mid-March without having to give up work completely. They’re going to start around 14.00 (they’re in the West Indies) and I can wangle jobs ...

Where can I play cricket in South London?

Watching the opening to the World Cup yesterday I suddenly developed a yearning to go back to my school days and start playing cricket again. Having never been much cop at school and not played for the best part of 9 years, I was wondering whether anybody knows where I could play cricket in South London without it b...

Does anyone know anywhere that shows the cricket even when football is on?

I don’t want to give Murdoch money by getting Sky but I would quite like to be able to watch the cricket world cup. Anywhere that has Sky shows football if it is on and my interest in the football season is effectively over as I support Arsenal. Does anyone know anywhere that will show the cricket over the ...

So this morning I was sat on a bus (yes a bendy one) when I idly glanced out of the window and noticed a black cab with driver looking at his satnav! Now isn’t this cheating? Isn’t it against the Knowlege principles? Surely this must be at least frowned upon? How about everyone get in the back of a...

Nottingham test, Sunday (day 3) 29th July. I have 2 tickets and can’t go any longer. Its sold out so they’re not easy ticket to come by. They're in "Hound Road Upper" stand which is next to the members pavillion, looking down the pitch. £50 each (which is what they cost), Anyone interested?

Anyone fancy a match of Skunk Cricket?

I play skunk cricket. It’s a great game. I play on Brixton road, it’s pretty simple – you count the number of times people say “Skunk” to you as you walk down the road between the Library and Brixton tube. I average 4 per walk, though do occasionally manage a six. If you don’t...

I am new to south west London!! Can anyone recommend a cricket team I can get involved with? I say this because cricket nets usually start taking place in February so I would like to hear from anyone. I am not talking First class standard, but I can hold a bat!! Anywhere in South West/West London would be good. t...

Does anyone want to play cricket with me?

I’d love to play the odd informal game of cricket. Joining a club’s not really for me, as I can’t devote every Sunday to it (not to mention the little england mentality), so a quick 20 over a side on a summer’s evening – followed by a bevvie or two, of course, would be perfect. Does ...

Today heralds the start of a month-long sporting extravaganza, where the great cricketing superpowers, including Holland, Scotland and Bermuda, will grace the world stage, with millions of pounds being won or lost on daft bets involving Dwayne Leverock. Now, what I would like to know is, where can I wile away a few ...

Some people at my work are planning on watching the Man U game tonight but one in the group also wants to watch the cricket. Are there any bars around Charing Cross/Soho where you can watch both at the same time?

My Dad is coming over from Australia in Spring and I want to show him the best of Britain. I’d like to take him on a bit of a ramble through some nice country side, walk about 6 miles a day and come across some nice friendly boozers along the way, maybe see a castle/manor/abbey etc and possibly stumble across ...
