I read that the NHS have set up an emergency treatment tent on platform 10 at Liverpool Street to treat City drunks. Apparently, on the 20th they treated 12 people and expected more yesterday. In the local paper yesterday, it was reported that Haringey gets about 15 people a week in hospital due to drink related illness or injury. If that’s replicated all over the capital then surely some of us, and people we know, must surely have had an embarrassing or debilitating drink related trip to A&E...
