The Dartmouth Arms in Tufnell Park is diversifying its services to include haircuts on Thursday nights.
We’re not exactly sure who their target audience is… is it you? Would you? Really? What else should London pubs be providing?

Haircuts in pubs, great idea, I make all my best decisions in pubs, and besides, what could go wrong with a haircut.

The ‘Wacky Barber’ outlets are testing the theory in reverse – they give you a free beer while you have your hair cut – I like it…

‘Wacky Barber’? I’m not sure about them but I like the idea of being tipsy while my hair’s cut. I get tense at the hairdresser because I feel I should be chatty. But I’m not. I’d rather sit in silence. But this makes me tense. Gimme a couple of glasses of fizz though and I’d be a marvellously garrulous and amusing customer.
Actually, yeah – put me in a secluded corner of the pub with a pint and a packet of crisps and I’d be quite content for restyling and chitter chat to take place. I’m there.
