Where to take the French in London?

My European colleagues (mainly French but also a German, Italian and Spaniard, as well as Brits) are coming over to London for a workshop and celebration of completion of a project during the second week of December, and I would like to arrange for a couple of activities to show off this fine city – very exciting! Does anyone have any good suggestions of places to go / places to eat. I was thinking of ice skating at Somerset House (do they do mulled wine?), and a dinner at Konstam in Kings Cross (where all the ingredients are sourced within the M25 – has anyone been before?) but would appreciate any other ideas.
I don’t know about budget yet, but would expect it to be reasonably restrictive – dinner at around £20 per head, and no more than that per head for an activity (both of which will probably be during two separate evenings). They will be staying near the City so I’d like to keep reasonably close to that part of town. I guess in total there will be around 15 of us.
I am also planning to take them to Manzes in Chapel Market, Islington, for a pie and mash lunch – which I highly recommend if you haven’t been.

I believe the French tend to be partial to being taken up the Oxo Tower, but I wouldn’t like to over-generalise

Konstam’s a great idea – don’t know if you’ll get £20 a head there, though, but it’s worth a try. Another place could be Canteen in Spitalfields? It’s near the City, there’s slightly more to do before/after dinner than round Konstam, and it’s all British food too.

If your French buddies end up, as so many visitors do, in Leicester Square, take a few minutes to visit the church of Notre Dame de France in Leicester Place. It’s a beautiful church and inside is a mural by Jean Cocteau. “Henry Lincoln, in his book ‘The Holy Place’ claims Cocteau hid a pentagram in his mural in the church. He put his own head in the middle of it.”

If they start getting lippy about the UK, Beaujolais next to Charing Cross Road on Litchfield St. Best wine bar in town, plays good blues and is run by a cluster of French men so they can shrug at each other in gallic fashion.
