Where to have leaving drinks when your friends range from 20 - 50 years old?

Dear All,

I have decided to leave London Tahn and move back to God’s Country (Wales) for reasons I can’t be arsed to go into… suffice to say it wasn’t an easy decision.

Anyway, my co-workers are meithering me to pick a location for my leaving drinks. Its probably going to be a Thursday night (possibly a Friday) and previous leaving drinks here have consisted of karaoke bars, posey expensive bars and the pub over the road which has no music.

My taste in music basically runs to punk, ska, metal and all that stuff. So I’d like to take them all somewhere like that. Or failing that somewhere with showtunes. NO R&B, no dance, no house, no electronic nastiness. My lot range from 20 to 50 in age, so I don’t particularly want to kill anyone in the process.

Oh and I’d like to be able to get to the bar without queuing for an hour each time.

Any suggestions gratefully received. I was thinking of the Intrepid Fox but a bit worried about the more ‘normal’ among them… and I’ve heard The Ship is quite good, but no-one seems to know where it is…......
