Where to go for a night out in Portobello?

Am off out for a night in and around Portobello, but west London is a mystery to me, I’ve only lived here 37 years. Once we’ve had our food and sunk a few beers where should we go next?

Something musicy, clubby, late night pubby even.

It’s a select gathering (anyone who responded to the email) of 30 something (male) kidults if that makes any difference to the venues suggested.

Neighbourhood is probably the only real clubby place – it’s quite good too. Theres also the Notting Hill Arts club around Notting Hill Gate, or Cherry Jam near Royal Oak. As for drinking, few places open after midnight – The Electric Brasserie is one and Trailer Happiness is another. Theres also Westbourne Studios but you need to be a member to get in. Hope this helps!

I’ve DJed at Trailer Happiness a couple of times, and it’s good fun. Their snacks and cocktails are EXCELLENT and the bar staff are – or certainly were – a fun bunch. I heartily reccomend their preposterous Tiki style multi person volcano cocktail with sparklers sticking out of it….
