Where can I eat really good unhealthy food?

It’s not big or clever, but once every so often I drink plenty of beer and get a hankering for barbecue spare ribs and chips…something to do with beer bringing out the caveman within. Few places do good ribs, even fewer let you throw the bones over your shoulder; Bodeans is about the best that I know but is certainly not the best I’ve had. Where do you satisfy the less cultured areas of your stomach?

CHINATOWN! Cheap, greasy and plenty of colourings and MSG to make it all go down that bit easier. £5 buffets are particularly recommended. And Tsing Tao beer rocks. Also, instead of ribs, try some of the pork belly (the flat bit of meat that hangs in the window alongside the ducks etc.) – it’s delicious.

*goes back to healthy New Years lunch of vegetables and cottage cheese :( *

Ed’s diner in Soho. There are two – one right and right again out of Leicester Square tube, the other in Soho itself. Delicious, yummy, filling and fairly reasonably priced: shakes, burgers, chilli’s, chips, all sorts of sundaes. score. There is a jukebox that alledgedly works but didn’t seem to play our songs. Boo. But the food is ruling!
