I’m sure you all know this but Londonist is looking for new writers to simply commit to writing a couple of blog posts a week but to receive lots of free passes and access to fun places.
Anyone gonna apply?

Do we get any hints about what’s required or what’s going to be happening? Is there a style sheet?

I’ve got a feeling that if you have to ask, you might not be right for the job. It’s not as if The Londonist or KCL are secret new projects.
I’d definitely be up for it if it wasn’t for the fact that I had to be in bed so early.

If I wasn’t single-handedly taking over the world I would do it.

If I wasn’t struggling to keep up to date with my own blog I’d do it too.

Would one be permitted to comment on one’s Londonist blogging experiences on Twitter ?

I’m sure The Londonist would be pleased to get the pages views, so letting your Twitter followers know you’ve written something and it’s on the The Londonist site shouldn’t be a problem.
I have a London website (http://golondon.about.com in case your interested) and we all like visitors to come to our site.
Writing for The Londonist would be a great way to get into writing for the web while having lots of fun. If I wasn’t already do the same thing (all on my own) I would apply.
BraveNewMalden, I too like a few early nights but I love the freebies to see exhibitions and press previews to fun thangs. Did Zippos Circus and The London Aquarium a few weeks ago. Yes, the freebies maketh the job…

The early nights thing was a smokescreen. In reality, I don’t have the use of my arms.

premiumThe GoLondon sounds like fun too. How long have you worked for The GoLondon?

Give us all a break and HAVE A FAG, Willster.

Can’t be arsed contributing to be quite honest. I would very much like to help but I know that all that would happen would be that I would get lots of smug comments from smug gits and that’s about it. That’s what’s frightened everyone away in the first place.
If that bit could be reigned in, and the ones who feel the need to wave their testicles the whole time could be instructed in constructional text then I’d be very willing to help wherever I could.
Oh well, perhaps there’ll be a decent fight at the quiz night this week.

Are you trying to give up smoking too, Potty? Light(en) up.

My Sonic Youth review for Londonist didn’t get any smug comments. Did I do something wrong?

People, people! Calm yourselves. Sheesh. A gal tries to get London people to do something fabulous and gets THE grump from Willster, bitter finger pointing from Potty, insecurity at lack of put downs from Adrian Cooper, a horrible recycled joke from Spammed, and an utterly pointless comment from me.
I would love to GoLondon, but I am too busy spinning the plates of other non-profit Londoness.
And your GoLondon stuff is rather fabulous, IMHO.
So thanks for thinking of us for the Londonist thing.

I think you’ll find I did mention you Spammed.

I quite like red apples.

Thank you beagleskin for keeping everyone calm and happy while I was away. I honestly feel there are so many witty and articulate people on this site more could benefit from the joys of writing about London in exchange for free things to do.
willster, I’ve been writing the About.com London Travel website since it started in 2006 and I can recommend writing about London as the perfect way to enjoy our great city. I get to be a tourist every week and I love it.
pottytime, if Londonist readers like to post comments that should be seen as a good thing as you’ve written something they want to talk about.
AdrianCooper, If readers don’t post comments we’ll take it that you said enough and they’re happy.
I have no connection with Londonist but I like the site and know many others do too. Free days/evenings out are not a bad way to spend your time in exchange for writing a few paragraphs telling others what the event/attraction/etc was really like.

I would love to but I’m not very good at writing about things, except to say that they’re ‘nice’ or ‘awesome’ or ‘fun’. I suspect that’s not really the level of detail they’d be looking for.
If, however, I’m wrong and there’s a gap in the market for a writer with little imagination; I’m your lady and you should speak to my agent.
