Hello there. Fridaycities is in need of a webdesigner to join our happy band. Either on a contract basis or freelance if they can guarantee a month or so of availability. They’ll be working on Fridaycities v2.0 which launches towards the end of August. This isn’t a tech position – purely design – but obviously experience working with tech folk and an understanding of Ajax/Javascript would be very handy.

That’s the coder’s job horsey. I would like to see some proper IA put into this site though, it’s so frustrating trying to find threads and this is a problem that has been solved plenty of times before. Deep data on FCL means anything that’s not been posted in in the last couple of minutes in certain special categories. None of that needs to be deep. It’s not even a case of getting a good IA to do it for you, you can just use one of the endless design patterns developed and employed by other people who have already solved the same problems you now have.
