Hot on the tails of Coadunatio Sextus is the feeling amongst several FCLers that we should try to fit another one in before Christmas. While this may be an impossible dream considering how close Christmas is, there are possibilities, especially if people are willing to consider a weekend day. I’ve found a pub near Southwark Station which allows you to hire out the whole pub – FOR FREE! at the weekend. And it’s not a Sam Smith’s either! What’s even more frightening is that we could start at lunchtime…
So – what do people think?
As you’ve gathered, I’m offering my services to organise our next get-together… Date to be agreed later.

Bloody hell, Potty, can’t you at least wait for me drink my way out of this hangover?

premium onlineHow about that dead time between Christmas and New Year?

For fecksake. At last, one SOUTH OF THE RIVER!!! I am fed up with having to cross water to see you people. Go on, crossing a bridge won’t hurt you.

North London rejects me. I’m the cashew that gives it anaphylactic shock. It breathes a sigh of relief when I get on the bus and piss off back over Waterloo Bridge.

do you think we could ever get this lot this far south
Posted about 1 year ago by wickedlywitchy

A lot of these good people live round here, and the rest can bloody well get on the bus.

premium onlineBut nobody’s answered the question about whether we could start on a Saturday/Sunday lunchtime…
I couldn’t do the bit between Xmas and NY because I have to go up to Newcastle…

premiumWherever’s planned seems to entail cursed calculation and strategy on my part, but I really like Southwark so am already fully swayed to make the necessary effort required. And if the Reading-Waterloo link doesn’t go tits up at Christmastime, all will be swell for a 7th.

premiumA Saturday works much better for me than any Sunday, Mr P.

Yes yes fine, south of the river then…

There are ages to go until Christmas and I demand that we celebrate the run-up in true FCL style, i.e. getting drunk and wittering to new acquaintances…
And starting at lunchtime? Why the hell not. Although I might need to pace myself rather better than I have previously…

Heh, true DK, that’s all I’m saying about that.
I’d be well up for another, but later in the month as I’m housebound for the first few weeks for sure, but if not have a great day/night!

premium onlineThe pub I was talking about BTW is the Paper Moon on Blackfriars Road: http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/11/1149/Paper_Moon/Southwark

Yeah, i’m happy for a lunchtime. And South of the river works for me! Woo!
Posted about 1 year ago by faith

The Paper Moon is two minute’s walk from Southwark tube station, for all those scared of coming south.
If it’s a free hire you’re after with no minimum spend in a more central location, the Blue Posts on Kingly St does just that.
How about one of the 13/14/15 December for a Christmas do.

premium onlineHmmm… The Blue Posts is just around the corner from where I work – I shall investigate!
