script timeout on pages with loads of tags

This page causes IE7 to pop up the ‘scripts are taking an age to load – stop or carry on’ error.
I’m guessing it’s side effect of the new tag arrow functionality. My suggestion would be to not show the tags on the page. I wanted a quick list of who’s signed up for the FCL meet, but have to wait for the timeout thing to appear.

My own profile page does the same in Firefox on a Mac. Just saying, like.

IE 7 is only to be used where a copy of Netscape 1.2 is unavailable. And as for Firefox, don’t install the PubesFinder extension or you’ll never get any work done.

Yeah, it’s a ‘known known’. Removing the tags is a very good idea. Well done. Have a kudo.

Yup. For reference it’s the same in Firefox. I’ve got it on a few, presumably, popular tag searches.

I still have horrible problems with script slowness when using this site. Pages don’t scroll properly and all sorts. It’s making me get so pissed off with the site I don’t want to spend time on it. Which is a shame.

I get it on pages with maps when using Firefox on a Mac. Never get any problems with FF on a PC.
HTH.

I’m getting on Win FF but not so bad on Mac FF. (Also, urchinTracker is undefined on every sodding page)

Oh yeah, and the pages with maps on are the worst offenders. Can we not have a “load the stupid map” link so that we don’t have to sit through the script stalls every time?
