Salsa in South East London?

Are there any venues/clubs in the Forest Hill area that teach the mysteries of salsa to the rhythmically challenged? My previous dancing experience is limited to the drunken shuffle so somewhere beginner friendly would be appropriate.

Whoddafunkit? A site purely for finding salsa classes in your area. Question Bar’s quite nice an’all isn’t it? When I lived in Forest Hill all Dartmouth Road’s pubs were branches of Fight Club, now I hear they’re all turning gastro.

Excellent. Ta very much. There are still fighty pubs along that way (Bird in the Hand) but the rest are gastro now.

Ah, the good old Bird in the Hand. I was nicked outside there walking home with the shopping once, when a fight spilled out onto the pavement and I walked round it just as the police arrived. Thankfully one of the folks nicked pointed out I was innocent, but you’d have thought 6 bulging carrier bags of shopping and the absence of any tattoos could’ve done that already.
The Malt Shovel used to be friendly enough, but there was a fatal fire there (involving young children) and it understandably never really recovered any atmosphere. Not sure what it’d be called now, was the low-ceilinged pub nearest the swimming baths, with a cellar bar for hire.
Enjoy your salsa.
