I am utterly shameless.

Tomorrow I, and several fine knitting ladies, will be doing the 5km Race for Life in Battersea Park and goddammit we’ll be knitting as we go. It starts at 7pm.

You can either: Come along to Battersea Park and cheer us on (hoping all the while for a knitting while walking-based accident to befall us so you can Youtube it for instantly crap fame)
Donate some of your lovely money to the cancer-fighting cause because a) you wish I would shut up, b) you’re one of the good ones c) you wish I would shut up
or
Roll your eyes and go back to dribbling in front Britain’s Got Talent

We’re also offering a couple of cancer fighter hat patterns for anyone who knits. Which none of you do (except Flippy whose knitting is so good it scares us all).

I know we’re all eating credit crunch and all that but if I don’t play the cancer card now they revoke my membership.

As you were.

Done and best of luck – as a matter of interest what will you be knitting?

Sounds shit. Is there booze?

If you were utterly shameless you’d be naked and knitting yourself a running outfit as you ran.

Why do I sound like TerryB today ?

Awwwww thanks CFalconer. We’ll be knitting cancer fighter hats and donating them to couple of London cancer wards.

Will, I’m drunk now in preparation.

MarkE, you’re back! And no.

Rib and increase/decrease while on the go! I’m impressed. Good luck – hope it stays dry….

Do you think maybe the needle-in-the-eye worry actually came to fruition?

Out of respect for beagleskin’s memory, one thinks “needle in the eye” should be adopted as the new metaphoric replacement for “hole in the head”.

Apparently Beagleskin is within sight of the finishing line.

I’m surprised she’s knit here with a yarn to tell. Although it seams they all finished.

Stop talking about me while I’m not here. People might think I’m vaguely popular.

It was fabulous, thanks.

We finished dead last out of 5000 people. That has to be an achievement.

We also raised a rather whopping £1,134.00.

And I ate my bodyweight in cake at the end.

Thanks ever so to all you lovelies who donated.
