premiumDon’t think there are many places with gardens that close to Liverpool Street.
On the other hand, if you’re happy to accept a LADY garden or two, there are plenty of places. Start at the Rainbow Sports bar, and head towards Browns.

The Papermill on Curtain Road’s not too bad. Well, it sells beer, it has a fairly big garden and it’s easy enough to stagger back to Liverpool Street.

The Water Poet on Folgate Street. Really nice pub, distinct lack of typical City twats – probably because there are lots of seats, big beer garden out the back. Folgate Street is about 5 minutes’ walk from Liverpool Street, north, on the right, between Norton Folgate (what Bishopsgate is called for about 2 yards till it becomes Shoreditch High Street) and Commercial Street.

Quiet is tough, but…
The Water Poet would be my pick – it has a very (surprisingly) large garden/courtyard out the back – it’s not quiet but on a normal weeknight its less packed and less full of wankers than most others in the area. Not when there’s football on though. Like tonight. It will be rammed.
Cargo Bar is not far away and also not very quiet but has a big outoor area and doesn’t get busy til later.
The Light Bar is a bit shit but has a big outdoor area.
Strongroom is a bit weird and not very nice inside but has tables out the front in a sort of carpark but which is not on the road, it’s down a driveway. If its not too busy its quite nice to sit there.
Nothing else off the top of my head…
Hope this helps.

Ooh, lots of answers while I was typing away!
Owl and Pussycat is a good shout Flippy, that’s likely to be less busy than the others. Although outdoor area much smaller than that Water Poet and WP is much closer to Liverpool St station.

Cargo is perfect, assuming there’s no football. I know they showed some matches during the last world cup. We’ll see.
Thanks all.
