I think I know why it’s happening.

I happened to leave a thread open for a while before I got round to writing my response. It came up as being posted earlier than when I clicked Submit. I think the site generates the timestamp from when the page was loaded and then attaches that to your response, rather than the time the submit button was actually clicked, which would make more sense.
