Now that I am getting ancient I have decided that I need to get off my heinie and do some of the things I have been meaning to do for a while.
I have a very good friend who teaches piano. She has gone horribly silent since I asked her to teach me. In fact she said “What the hell do you want to learn NOW for??!” and has not spoken to me since, in fear of me actually pressing the issue.
But I will not be detered by her overwhelming fear of teaching a 29 year old to play the piano. My boyfriend plays everything under the sun, and dammit I want to learn at least one thing!
I am a total, total beginner but I do have one of those keyboards where the keys light up. Which has no doubt taught me bad habits.
So does anyone know of good piano-type teachers in the Earlsfield area? Ones who are not scary, do not smell of cats too badly, and don’t slap the back of your hands with rulers…

I would recommend my old piano teacher but since I like you I will not recommend her for the following reasons:
1. She shouts a lot
2. She lives in Slough
3. She’s a nun
4. She might be dead

premiumThe second and last ones might put a spanner in the works.
A friend of mine got me a Learn the Piano with Jools Holland CD for my birthday. I am going to have to resort to learning something from the TV aren’t I? Oh the horror…
