Does everyone know that the closing date for the first category, Portraits, has been extended until 26th October. The other categories close as follows: Documentary – 29th October, Landscapes – 30th October, Macro – 31st October, Animals – 1st November, Botanical – 2nd November, Street – 9th November, Architectural – 16th November, Fine Art – 23rd November, Black & White – 30th November. I forgot to mention that the competition is for digital photography so entries are submitted online, entry is free and the main prize is £15,000. Why not submit that old photo that came out unexpectedly well? Good luck.

Do you reckon the animals category includes stuffed animals? I got a great shot of a naked monkey in his natural habitat sat on his Fanny….
