It’s my friend’s night so I’m shamelessly promoting it for him. You can get half price entry with a flyer, so if you’re interested drop me a message.

Friday May 4th @ 333 – 10pm til 5am

The Dials The Rebecas Langley Road

The Dials www.myspace.com/thedialsuk

Formed in Brighton, UK – play a hybrid of psychedelic garage, country and folk music (although there are liberal amounts of surf and soul in there too).

Over the last few years they’ve been steadily winning over people with their intoxicating cocktail of instant but sometimes strange classics.

The Dials are recent winners of the Fopp New Music Award which recognises the “best in creative and innovative music happening in the UK today”. The band take on board influences from The Byrds to early Pink Floyd, and from classic soul to folk, but The Dials occupy a space that is completely their own.

The Rebecas http://www.myspace.com/therebecas

In a seedy late night clip joint just a cigarette’s throw from being somewhere safe, euro house polluting the air like the smoke from a thousand stale cigars and cheap french perfume. Talk is cheap and the drunken discussion between friends and strangers turns between manga, music and chosen narcotics for the inebriated minds. Words are thrown and drinks spilled from reconstituted plastic cups. The sun rises slowly over deserted grey streets and the rebecas are born

Langley Road have built a lot of excitement surrounding their debut shows, as half the band were former members of The Stetsons! The two new members of the band are both great guitarists and their sheer enthusiasm for the new project leaves us all in great anticipation. The band are a four piece rock’n’roll outfit with Libertines/Clash sentiments, energy levels set to the maximum and a great look!
