Oops, forgotten Mothers day again?

Don’t worry, if your mum is IT savvy you can send her a very cool card by email. Its printable, so she can still stick it on the mantlepiece. Its only a pound – and half the price goes to charity. Instead of grumbling about you failing to send anything in the post she’ll be dead chuffed about what a caring, considerate child she has brough into the world. I remember making Mother’s Day cards at school when I was 5. There was then around an eight year gap where, shortly after changing schools and it appeared to be fashionable, I bought a Mother’s Day card. My mother was deeply suspicious and asked what had I done to feel guilty about?

Am I in a minority here in not sending cards for Mother’s Day?

Why not arrange for your mother to have her birthday close to Mother’s Day? That way you can buy her one gift for both occasions.

It’s Sunday. I’ve bought my card already but I’m wishing I’d saved my money….

Sunday 18th, that’s good, didn’t miss it!! My mothers birthday is 1st March close enough, more so I suppose as I forgot this as well.

My memory is not going, just shifting to keep other things, full of telephone and IP numbers. Also in a quiz team and through to the London Finals once again (won it last year then went on to win the National comp as well).

Am I excused for forgetting mums birthday??

Am I the only one who was a bit concerned about lethal e-cards when the preview for this thread ended like this:

“Instead of grumbling about you failing to send anything in the post she’ll be dead…”

I got my mother a ‘mothers day card’ and a ‘birthday card’. missed her birthday (on 1st March), so hope two cards will make it up. Once can only hope though!!

I always find that ecards smack of “Fuck it, I forgot your birthday but here’s a pointless ecard to pretend I care.”

My mum loves e-cards. Especially ones with dancing squirrels.
