Oil drilling in the Thames?

Is there really an oil rig parked up in the Thames just east of Blackfriars Bridge? What is it doing there? There are even men working on it, but they are a little too far away and I am a little too demure to bellow over the bridge at them and find out.

I haven’t seen it but might it be something to do with crossrail? Driving the piles in, or something?

I like the idea of you or anyone bellowing ‘What are you doing?’ at the men. Or ‘What do you think you’re doing?’
