Hello Fridaypeople!
A bunch of London-based lit organisations – publishers, literary magazines, writers and performers, are getting together to throw an open literary festival for London from June 29th to July 13th.
That’s when the self-proclaimed ‘London Literature Festival’ is on at the South Bank and we want to throw it open to everyone, and highlight all the cool literature-based stuff going on around London all the time.
Check it out at http://londonlitplus.com
It’s an open festival, which means anyone can throw an event under the LL+ banner – so if you’re of a literary bent, why not put something together? If you’re the less active type, we still have events to suit every taste – from literary pub quizzes to poetry readings to music and spoken word, with the list growing every day. So check out th events, spread the word, and come along!

Mike_Litro and I hope to be putting something together for this- it’s a great idea. Keep up the fantastic work!

premiumWas reading a short snippet re. this in weekend’s Guardian Guide…
Tentatively very much count me in for anything you put together – especially if it’s during the July part of the fest (when childcare will be easier for me to arrange)...
I’ll be more than happy to fight my way up from the sticks to join any fellow FCLers getting literary n all… Yay!

premiumPsssst… Oi… I’d said above that I couldn’t actually make any June events for this London Lit Fest. Anything in July’s possibly a better bet but, of course, there was no way of indicating that on the invite-thingumibob which I’ve just had a reminder about… Ay caramba!

This looks excellent. Could I proclaim my When to Run play at the South Bank lit festival on 10 & 11 July as being part of LL+ too? Or can I only be part of one or the other?
