I’m due to be at the Oval that day watching the (scheduled) final day of the Test Match. Several factors might affect whether I can join you or not, including (i) whether England even survive to a 5th day this time; if so, (ii) whether it goes well or badly; either way, (iii) what sort of a state I’m in after possible all-day drinking; and (iv) whether you all slope off stupidly early like you usually do.

I’ll tick anyway, just to show willing.

I’m a ticking person, and I hereby confirm/admit that I have seen the date change. (Whether I should have been peering through her bedroom window just before we were supposed to be meeting up is another matter, and is in the hands of my lawyers… Sorry – I’m only doing this sort of gag ‘cos I think BNM might be away on holiday…).

Anyway, I’m most unhappy about the change fro Monday to Tuesday, as for Tuesday I currently have no good excuses for my inevitable lateness, whereas I was well sorted for Monday’s excuses. So, hope to see you there on Tuesday.
