Leaving it a bit late, but I’m going to see Bjork in Hammersmith tonight and need to eat first but as far as I can remember from my infrequent trips to the H, there isn’t anywhere to eat. I went to see Rufus Wainwright there and had to have a subway because we couldn’t find anywhere else.
Can anyone recommend anywhere where the food is edible and they serve alcohol?

Latymers on Hammersmith Road serves pretty decent Thai, a five or ten minute walk towards Kensington from Hammersmith tube.

This is way too late, but The Gate is a wonderful vegetarian restaurant, and (The Dove aside) about all that Glamoursmith has going for it.

for future reference, Sagar: inexpensive, south indian, vegetarian, and one of Time Out’s 50 best if you’re into that kinda thing.

I seconds Sagar – It’s bloody marvellous! Was introduced to it recently when I went to the funny earphones production by Shunt at the Lyric. Wonderful veggie indian and very cheap. And booze. Hurrah!

premiumI was impressed by the Riverside Studios especially good for a sunny day as it has a great terrace right on the river for food and drink.

I know this is a bit late, but Mahdi’s is absolutely fantastic. Persian restaurant that’s NOBYOB and No Booze (disappointing), but the bread and humus were brilliant.
