Hotel near Heathrow T5

Since BA have stopped doing internal flights from Gatwick (a handy 30 minutes from my local station), and moved them all to Heathrow T5, (nearly 2 hours away) the desire to get up stupid early to catch a morning flight has waned.

Hotels near airports are notoriously expensive/rubbish – does anyone have any suggestions for hotels close to the correct tube/train, or within a cheap cab ride of T5 which don’t suck, or cost the earth? Brekkie would be nice too.

A cool 25 kudos on offer to the best suggestion.

If a travelodge is okay for your short stay before flight, then this one is currently at £19 per night and in easy reach of T5.
