Help Little Nina to enjoy Christmas this year

My lovely, lovely flatmate and bosom friend Nina has gorn and broken her wrist – curses in triplicate. Yesterday, her consultant signed her off work for ten weeks. This is particularly irksome as she is a professional SELF-EMPLOYED violinist, so isn’t eligible for Statutory Sick Pay. The financial implications of this are grave indeed…
We have spent today thus far trawling the internet for benevolent socities who might want to help her, but I hoped the readership of Fridaycities may be aware of organisations of which we are ignorant. Clearly, we’ve been in touch with the Musicians Union and associated charities.
Any assistance would be very gratefully received x x x

Biscuits! Hallo! How goes the bassoon fundraising? I was, just the other day, wondering where you had gotten to.
Anyway – member of my family (who’s a butcher) was helped out in hard times by the Butcher’s Guild. I wonder if the Worshipful Company of Musicians might do the same for your friend? This sort of thing perhaps?

Aw, thanks Badge! Bassoon fundraising nearly at £1000 – Connie’s very happy and 6 months pregnant. She’s promised not to spend our hard-raised cash on Pampers.
I left the worshipful dudes a message this very morning; hopefully they’ll come up trumps…
Jeez, this script thing hasn’t got any faster during my absence, has it? Driving me quite potty, it is.
