Has anyone else suffered a cycle-by bum slapping?

Walking back from the pub the other night a young man (I suspect late teen but he had a hoodie on and I couldn’t really tell as he sped away) cycled past me and slapped my bum as he went. Has anyone else experienced this? I was pretty outraged – although mostly because there was no one behind me who I could share my disbelief with. I suppose I should be relieved he didn’t cycle off with my bag.

No, but as soon as my bike is out of the menders I’d quite like a go

Yeah, sorry about that, but I couldn’t help it.

no, but i have experienced walking-by bum slapping, i was too shocked at the nerve of the person to say anything and then got annoyed with myself for not shouting at them.

McDirts

I have been tempted in the past.

But obviously that would be a gross infringement of someone’s personal space and as such have always refrained. Mostly I just thwack small children round the ear’ole as I slip past.

I’ve never had it from a bike but Oxford Street in the summertime is rife with gropers, cheers boys.

CheckpointCharlie

Someone once rode up behind me and poured water over my head. I dealt with it fantastically by shouting ‘c*nt!’. I don’t think they heard me over their hysterical laughter.

Mockernee

I’m not sure I’m comfortable with the proprietorial tone towards London’s homeless, but I suggest getting yourself a tougher-looking bum.

It’s a good point Mockernee. This is precisely why I keep mine in a trolley. That way I can push him into the road if he attracts any undue attention towards me.

No, don’t it (wouldn’t do it) but have seen it, the other day as I was walking along Euston Road at lunch time, a bike came by and as it passed, the rider (male) put his arm out and smacked the arse of this girl waiting to cross the road. She didn’t take too kindly to this (as is excepted), ran after the guy, caught up with him and pushed him off his bike. Fortunatly for him there wasn’t a car beside him, so he managed to get up, and getting on his bike he slowly cycled away, only thing that seems to be bruised was his pride. More so as we went on his way to the sound of laughter for the bus queue.

Har har….

i was calmly walking along the leafy streets of balham, and felt my arse being slapped. the worse thing was, when i turned round, the young scoundrel was about 12 years old. it felt very, very wrong…..
